The research behind the project
Cyberpsychology research at Cyberpsy develops ADID from earlier work on digital identity, self-presence and immersion. The research programme examines how people connect psychologically with digital representations and how different forms of interaction may influence this connection.
Main cyberpsychology research areas
Previous and ongoing cyberpsychology research includes digital identity, avatar use, self-presence, immersion, customisation, control and behaviour in digital environments. Particular attention is given to the psychological relationship between the person and their digital representation.
Publications
This section will provide peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and conference contributions related to the development of the research programme. Each publication will include a short explanation of how it contributes to the broader research direction, from digital identity and self-presence to immersion, customisation, control, personal agency and ADID.
Conferences and research communication
Conference presentations and invited research activities are also documented here. The purpose of this section is not simply to provide a publication list, but to show how the research programme has developed over time.
